Desde su fundaci\u00f3n en 1982, la instituci\u00f3n ha proporcionado m\u00e1s de 240,000 intervenciones quir\u00fargicas gratuitas a ni\u00f1os que nacen con labio y\/o paladar hendido.<\/p>\n<p>En Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, Operaci\u00f3n Sonrisa ha operado hasta la fecha a 899 pacientes y ha proporcionado m\u00e1s de 1,150 evaluaciones m\u00e9dicas integrales y gratuitas en 14 misiones m\u00e9dicas.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la jornada, 45 ni\u00f1os de escasos recursos fueron evaluados por personal m\u00e9dico de Operaci\u00f3n Sonrisa con el fin de confirmar si pueden ser sometidos a operaciones reconstructivas gratuitas que les ayuden a tener mejor calidad de vida en el futuro.<\/p>\n<p>Con esta iniciativa, Saint George School expresa su apoyo a\u00a0los ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes que sufren de esta condici\u00f3n desde su nacimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Saint George tiene como misi\u00f3n formar estudiantes responsables, conscientes, \u00edntegros y solidarios.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>M\u00e9dicos y directivos del Saint George School en el operativo Operaci\u00f3n Sonr\u00edas Saint George School celebr\u00f3 el primer centro educativo de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana en acoger una misi\u00f3n m\u00e9dica de la organizaci\u00f3n no gubernamental Operaci\u00f3n Sonrisa, que tuvo la finalidad evaluar a ni\u00f1os con labio o paladar hendido y otras deformaciones faciales.
